Shippageddon 2020-2022, what exactly is this?
If you combine a worldwide pandemic with short staff at shipping companies like UPS, Fedex and the USPS, along with an unprecedented amount of online shopping, you get SHIPPAGEDDON 2020-2022!
Under normal circumstances (and we all know 2020 has been anything BUT normal), your packages arrive to you AFTER processing, anywhere from 1-5 days within the continental United States). The closer we get to Christmas, the worse these delays will get.
I advise all of us to get our Christmas shopping done earlier than normal this year in hopes of getting your orders to you in time.
We offer FREE SHIPPING on all of our products, no matter how big or small they are. You have to may nothing extra for the free shipping. We will choose the shipping method and shipping company and it will be ground shipping under most circumstances.
If you choose to pay for EXPEDITED SHIPPING, remember, AFTER processing, your order will go out expedited. You pay for two or three day shipping, we will ship it out two or three day expedited shipping, but please note, that it is totally out of our control once the shipping companies, like Fedex, UPS and USPS pick up your package. They are faced with overwhelming issues, shortage of staff, and an unprecedented amount of packages. Please know they are doing their best, but again, we have zero control over how long they are taking to ship.
We cannot refund your expedited shipping fee due to delays from the shipping companies. We pay them to expedite it and they do not give refunds, especially not during this pandemic year of 2020.
What is PROCESSING TIME? Processing time is the time from which you place your order on our online store, to the time your order gets packaged up in our warehouse and ready for pick up by the shipping company. Our processing time is normally the next business day after you place your order. So, if you place an order on Tuesday, in MOST cases, it will ship out on Wednesday. If you place it on Friday, it should ship out on the following Monday as weekends and holidays are not considered business days.
If you choose the FREE SHIPPING, your order will normally ship the next business day, then take anywhere from 1-5 days to reach you depending on what you ordered, which warehouse it ships from, and where you are in relation to the warehouse. So, for example, let's say you order a jacket from our warehouse in New York and you live in New Jersey, once shipped, you SHOULD receive it in one day, two at the most. If you order something that comes from our warehouse in Texas and you live in Maine, then it's going to take about four days to reach you once the shipper picks your package up from our warehouse.
If you choose any of the EXPEDITED SHIPPING choices, we will ship it out at the speed you chose. For example, if you chose USPS Priority Mail (normally two to three days) but Fedex Two Day is available at about the same price, we will probably ship Fedex Two Day because they normally guarantee that two day time frame. The USPS does not guarantee it. In fact this year, USPS is in some cases, behind 2-3 weeks! Now, I know it would be extremely frustrating to pay extra for expedited shipping and it take weeks to reach you. That so far (fingers crossed), has not happened to any of our customers. The closer it gets to Christmas, we have seen slight delays for SOME customers of 2-3 days. Speaking on a personal note, I ordered something from a company that ships out of the United States and it took 5 weeks to reach me here in Florida. I was not a happy camper, but it is what it is, not much I can do about it, as an online merchant nor as a customer myself.
LOST OR MISDELIVERED PACKAGES:
We are not responsible for lost or misdelivered packages. We pay USPS or Fedex or UPS in good faith to deliver your package to you. If they lose or misdeliver it, that is unfortunately out of our control. You do have the option to add Signature Required service at a nominal fee when you are checking out, less likely for them to lose the package if someone has to sign for it. If you do not choose that service, again, it is out of our control. If your tracking number shows your order was delivered to you, please contact the US Postal Service or Fedex or UPS that delivered your package and tell them you did not receive it. Ask your neighbors if they received it and check under stairs or porches and with other people that live with you in case they picked it up.
